Dogs are labeled as “man’s best friend”. They are loving and loyal, especially to their pet parents. At the same time, dogs can be overly aggressive as well, no matter what their breed is. Any dog that has been exposed to a threatening environment can become combative. There have been many cases of dogs attacking humans and some of these attacks have unfortunately led to fatal casualties.
For this reason, proper nurturing and training is important to help our dogs maintain a healthy amount of aggression.
Nevertheless, there are certain dog breeds that are protectors and hunters in nature. These are some of the most aggressive dog breeds:

1. PIT BULLS
Pit Bulls attack by biting their target and shaking their head back and forth. When this happens, it is difficult to have them release the grip on their prey. What not many people know about Pit Bulls is that there is often a trigger that makes them behave this aggressively.
2. CHIHUAHUAS
Chihuahuas are small, but they have a big personality! They are strong-willed, intelligent, and are usually very responsive to positive reinforcement, but they can also be extremely dominant and untrusting.
3. WOLF HYBRIDS
As a combination of a dog and a wolf, we can easily assume that these types of dogs are certainly aggressive. Dogs can be domesticated in nature, but wolves are naturally from the wild. Wolves are pack leaders who are born with an alpha personality which makes them highly aggressive.
4. DACHSHUNDS
A Dachshund’s size and appearance can be deceiving. They can look like cute and gentle dog breeds, but they rank among the most competitive dog breeds in terms of aggression. They were bred for hunting badgers because their small legs allow them to follow badgers into their dens. That is why they have a strong hunch for hunting and attacking other creatures.
5. JACK RUSSEL TERRIERS
Jack Russel Terriers are smart, agile, and fun-loving, but they were originally bred to hunt foxes in the mid-1800s. They tend to have a strong personality as leaders that protect their boundaries, therefore may show aggression towards other animals or humans.
6. CHOW CHOWS
Chow Chows look like adorable teddy bears with their deep-set almond eyes and lion-like mane around their necks. Their physical appearance makes humans want to pet them instantly, play with them and sometimes tease them. However, this dog breed can be impatient and will not hesitate to retaliate against unpleasant teasing.
7. ROTTWEILER
Rottweilers are muscular dogs which were bred for cattle herding and hunting in the past. In modern days, they are used as guard dogs that work with the military and the police, therefore instantly being labeled as aggressive. Their temperament may be aggressive, but these dogs are not usually dangerous to humans.
Other dog breeds that are considered the most aggressive ones are German Shepherds, Dalmatians, Doberman Pinschers, and Siberian Huskies.
Again, some dog breeds may be more aggressive than others, but this does not mean that they are dangerous. Dogs are generally loving and loyal, as long as they are treated right and nurtured with proper care and training.
WHICH DOG CAN KILL A LION?
In theory, the Ovcharka Caucasian Mountain Dog is big and strong enough to kill a lion, but if a dog attacks a lion in the right way, any dog could kill a lion, and it has nothing to do with the strength.
WHAT DOG HAS THE STRONGEST BITE FORCE?
The Kangal has a bite force of 734 psi. With the Turks valuing their native dog so highly, they have banned the export of these stunning dogs, making them extremely rare outside the country.
WHICH DOGS BITE THEIR OWNERS THE MOST?
Small dogs such as chihuahua are frequent nippers, but because of their tiny teeth never do too much damage, whereas a bigger dog such as a Rottweiler or German shepherd will do more damage if they chose to bite, but are much less likely to bite.
